Shoulder the Load

2-minute AMRAP: Sandbag Over the Shoulder with a 50 lb bag. Your score is total reps.

Time: 2:00 AMRAP
Bag: 50 lb (everyone)
Score: Total Reps
Standard: Over shoulder + drop

How it works

  1. Bag starts on the floor in front of you.
  2. Pick it up and bring it up onto one shoulder.
  3. Take it over that shoulder so it drops to the ground on the other side, inside your lane.
  4. Turn/reset back to the bag and repeat for 2:00.
  5. Your score is total reps at the end of 2:00.

Important standards

  • Clear over + drop: it must clearly go over the shoulder and drop to the ground on the other side. No over + drop = no rep.
  • Either shoulder: you can use left or right and switch whenever you want.
  • Rest is allowed: stand up, shake out, then go again — clock keeps running.
  • Stay in your lane: keep the drop inside your lane (control the chaos).

When you can do it

  • Monday–Friday only
  • Submission closes Friday @ 6:00pm
  • Before class (arrive 15–20 min early)
  • After class (coach-dependent — ask first)
  • During open gym / between classes

Score submission

  • Submit your reps using the form on this page.
  • No submitted score by Friday @ 6:00pm = 0 for the event.
  • One submission per person — if multiple entries are submitted, the first one will be used.
